Natural preservatives
Food preservatives play a vital role in preventing deterioration of food, by extending their shelf life and helping the food retain colour, taste and nutrients.

Vegetable powders
Dehydrated vegetable powders are concentrated sources of nutrients and include the benefits of fresh vegetables for longer shelf life. These powders are sourced from a wide range of European based manufacturers.

Dietary fibres
Soluble and insoluble fibres including wheat, bamboo, oat, potato, soy, fruit and vegetable fibres as well as beta glucans.
Dietary fibre is made up of parts of plant foods that our bodies cannot digest or absorb which is important in a healthy diet.
Dietary fibres can be classed in the following groups:
- Soluble fibre; this is the type of fibre that dissolves in water and is found in oats, peas, beans, apples, citrus fruits, carrots, barley and psyllium and also includes beta glucans
- Insoluble fibre; this is commonly found in whole-wheat flour, wheat bran, nuts, beans and vegetables, such as cauliflower, green beans and potatoes. This fibre is not soluble in water.
Resistant Starch; this starch ‘resists’ digestion and is important to support a healthy digestive system. Foods containing this include, beans, peas, lentils, and whole grains such as oats and barley.

Natural flavours can enhance and/or compliment the flavours in a product while contributing to the overall aroma and general flavour profile of a product.

Vegetable proteins, starches and flakes
Vegetable proteins, starches and flakes – includes soy and pea proteins, potato starch and potato flakes
Protein is an important part of healthy eating and amino acids that make up protein play a vital role in repairing and building bones and muscles in our bodies.

Food phosphates
Food Phosphates – includes a wide range of sodium, potassium and calcium phosphates
Food phosphates are commonly used in deli and processed meats, baked goods and other manufactured products.
These are added to foods to achieve a variety of functions including; thickening and stabilising texture, acting as leavening and emulsifying agents, balancing pH levels as a neutralising agent, as well as enhancing flavour and extending shelf life.
